The best Lego movie with classic Lego made in Danmark sets (except used skeletons and this guy who says “You know…puuuush it”).
woo glad you like it!
still mind blowing for being 13 years old
woo! what's your favorite part?
This is incredible!!! Well done! 😁
wow thank you! what was your favorite part?
@@mobdeliWhen the ceiling was lowering! That must've taken a tremendous amount of work. Also it includes the "You shouldn't go drinking while exploring" hahah
@@PlaatPizzaPlaat_TV take a look at the behind the scenes, i used sheets of paper to make the most minuscule adjustments!
The characters were developed fantastically with excellent voice acting and the animation was perfection itself. Well done.
all credit goes to the voice actors, they rock!
Why did you stop making brickflims?
good question. they just take too long!
This deserves so much more
how did i manage to miss this gem of a stopmotion movie? :D that was awesome! nice work! it mustve taken ages
took about a year of work on and off!
@@mobdeli damn...
This holds up extremely well, both in terms of animation and the writing and humor. Really high quality stuff.
so glad you like it, whats your favorite part?
@@mobdeli I quite like the fact that the professor is completely unfazed by deadly spear traps and reanimated skeletons, either because he's sauced out of his gourd on wine or maybe he's just used to it by now.
@@nefariousgremlin7554 haha who knows which. sauced out of his gourd hilarious btw
@@mobdeli Thanks. They're two fun words that go even better together.
The Professor isn't stupid, he's just drunk. Why else do you think he only cares about the wine?
some would say he's the only smart character... some also wouldn't say that.
Those drums have the perfect sound for this song it’s insane
haha that's too funny, i think it's probably because they were used heavily before recording this
Only just discovering this now. Its amazing!
ooh nice, so glad you're discovering it! what's your favorite part?
@@mobdeliI mean right off the bat the real sand was great! But then the whole set design was fantastic
@@Samfan4Films777 nice! i remember pouring all that sand in my garage and thinking, "what on earth am i getting myself into!"
This is insane and it’s 12 years old crazy
woo feels like its 120 years old lol
seeing this BTS is really cool! i remember seeing the actual stopmotion a decade ago, time flies huh. if you dont mind me asking, what camera and lenses was this shot on, i can kinda see its some larger canon dslr 5d or 6d looking, but i couldnt work out the lenses
Hey awesome! Sure, it was with a canon 7D and I used old Nikon lenses (mostly a 28and a 50mm) with diopters to get close focus
@@mobdeli thanks for the quick answer! I had a feeling it was those old nikkors, very popular for stopmotion
Perfect
haha woo thanks!
Hey, just want to check out if you still play the drums Great job, my dyde
hey haven't for a while - but its something you never forget how to do. thanks for watching!
Amazing film!
Came back to this after not watching it in years. What a great flick.
nice glad you like it! whats your favorite part?
I mean I love the whole thing, but Owen looking at the camera in disbelief of the Prof. always cracks me up.
haha i love it!
What's the jazz music that plays once the truck enters the frame?
i can't remember, it was some song i found while digging around! shazam might work
Very nostalgic i watched it 100s of times its verrrryyyy good
that's so cool, im glad you like it so much! what's your favorite part?
@@mobdeli just about every part when doc wants a drink lol you should make another one revisiting it have it with them being older and the temple buried and have them drive 50s or so truck that would be awesome get alot of views from the other people who watched the original over the years
How is this from 12 years ago! It's so good!
time time time and time haha
This is amazing, especially given it came out 12 years ago. It’s sort of inspired me to make something like this myself. Well done
thats awesome this inspired you to make something, thanks for watching!
Still amazing ! Really well done ! :)
hey thank you! what was your favorite part?
CRACK
criggity
Should be a cult classic! Great job Spencer!
Brilliant!
Wait this was 12 years a go. epic stop motion. 👏
so glad you like it! it will live forever haha
Loved the skeletons
haha awesome, they were really interesting to animate
Poor doc.
i know, i think he and the pharaoh had a good time though
Its so good. Damn
woo im so stoked you like it! whats your favorite part?
Its so good that i dont have on. The quality i personaly thought was better then the actual Lego films. LEGO IS MISSING OUT!!!
@@mediocrelegopics woo! that's so nice, thanks
It’s 12 years old yet still fun to watch to this day
im so glad you like it, hopefully it's timeless!
*ah, the good ol days!*
we're still in the good ole days!
Watching this for the first time in, like, 11 years and I gotta say, it's as good as I remember, if not better. I feel like there's a lot more that I appreciate here than I could back when I was a kid. Greaf job, man
haha that's so great to hear! really glad you liked it then and now!
A classic
I saw that coming😂
This is such an incredible animation, I had no idea it was made 12 years ago! & on top of that you’re still responding to comments 12 years later?! Instant sub from me.
i try and respond to every comment, i love hearing that people enjoyed the film!
This is SO GOOD
booooofassssaa! glad you love it
It’s incredible
Wow. I love egypt. And your builds are fantastik.
hey thanks! what's your favorite build?
@@mobdeli The Temple and the Labyrinth. The Hieroglyphs, all
@@Phantomias_151 thanks! glad you like them :)
@@mobdeli very cool. I use this as Inspiration for my lego egypt stop-motion Video. Thank you. 👍PS the Professor with his wine was really funny 😂👍
@@Phantomias_151 nice, that makes me really happy that the work inspired you! remember, it's a very time-consuming process and you can't give up!
12 years ago, and it is still looking clean. Way ahead of your time. Cheers
that means a lot, spent so much time on this and just happy you like it!
You are a legend!
@@LegoLuema we both are!
Those were my absolute favorite lego sets!!!
mine too, johnny thunder!
Definitely deserves to be a favorite brick-film in the eyes of many.
hey, as long as you like it I'm happy!
oh my rockness!! 😍😍
TARKUSSSSS
Good story, good film. I'm so sad, that this Lego sets were in my dark ages.
there's always ebay!
Boris is an amazing director, up there with James Cameron.
Was talking to a friend about legos and thought about you and this incredible short. I remember working at the SVA production office and seeing you in that studio working on this for hours. Sent my friend this short and she was definitely very impressed.
haha blast from the past! that's so cool, really glad you enjoy it and hope you're well!
@@mobdeli hanging in there haha. Glad to see you’re still rocking it! Just saw your most recent super 8 video. Freaking awesome!
@@MinorMotionPicture wow awesome! yeah i have so much super 8 footage to deal with, its super fun!
BRO WTF, THAS create 11 years ago, thats amazing
haha so glad you like it, thanks!
@@mobdeli do you think create another history like this??
@@leocl8633 I don't know, not for a while! What time period would you like to see?
@@leocl8633 maybe someday!!
@@mobdeli i'm gonna wait for that!
Top 3 Lego Stop Motions. 1. Egyptian Holiday 2. Ant Bandits- Lando's Deal 3. MT Films- Lego Virus
haven't heard of those, will definitely check them out!
What does he say at 2:39?
EFFET TAY!
@@mobdeli is that Egyptian?
@@KrisDoesMovies_ i dont know?
@@KrisDoesMovies_ doesn't sound like it lol
@@mobdeli I tried searching up what “effet tay” means and nothings popping up. Why would you put this saying in the video if u don’t know what it means? Like I don’t think it’s a word either. Or is the word made up? That’s funny cuss I make up words too like using gibberish for instance.
I can’t believe this is still one of the best stopmotions ever 12 years later
so glad you like it! i love when people leave comments like this, makes me very happy
@@mobdeli Wow you replied nobody with over 1K subscribers normally replies
@@atomicstud oh definitely, i try to reply to all comments, i love replying - thanks for your comment!
Bravo
why thank you
12 years later and this STILL holds up!
